The Nassau County SWCD is a valuable entity in the natural resource protection of Nassau County. Since its beginning in 1977, the district has been working with Nassau County, the towns, villages and private individuals to enhance and protect the environment. Through our affiliations with Geese Peace International, the USDA Resource Conservation & Development, the Long Island Native Plant Initiative and many more, Nassau County SWCD is growing a regional presence. The District is continuing to work toward the goal of developing locally driven solutions to natural resource concerns.
